Live recording is a great feature if you want to have a copy of a lecture or other live event right in your Mindgrasp account. Once there, you can use it to generate any of our study aids, or you can ask the AI assistant any questions about the material you recorded.
In order to use our Live Recording feature, choose [Live recording] in the content upload module.
Once you choose the live recording option, you’ll see how many hours of recording you have left. This time limit depends on the Mindgrasp plan you have, and any unused hours will roll over to the next month.
Basic plans do not have access to live recording.
Scholar plans have a 5 hour recording limit.
Premium plans have a 10 hour recording limit.
If you go over your monthly limit and need more time, you can purchase more credits.To do this, simply click [Need more?] and you’ll be prompted to purchase additional credits for $0.75 a credit through PayPal or by debit or credit card.
When you’re ready to begin recording, click [Start Recording]
If you have not already granted access to Mindgrasp on your computer, you may see a pop-up from your browser to allow microphone access.
Once your recording starts, you have the ability to pause and restart the recording at any time. Once you’re ready to end, you can choose [Stop Recording].
Once you’ve stopped the recording, your Original Content tab in your session will have the final audio file as well as a written transcript with time stamps.
From there, you can use all the rest of the study features and generate notes and summaries, flashcards or quizzes, and you can ask the AI assistant questions like you would with any other uploaded piece of content.

How long does it usually take for live recordings to load? Thank you!
Hello Monroe! Depending on the length of the Live Recording it should not take more then a few minutes. If you are experiencing anything different please feel free to contact our customer service team for further insight via email at support@mindgrasp.ai
How do we save the live recordings to other devices?
Hey Janelle we currently do not offer the option to download the Mp3's recorded from Live Recording
I really like the site, but it seems like it could use some major updates for recording. Over the past two weeks, I’ve tried recording three classroom lectures, but each time, after hitting save, entering a title, and saving again, the recordings didn’t actually save. It just happened again today. Very frustrating.
